Vince Wishart – The Spiritual Warrior

Starting today, I’m going to gradually introduce the whole Ascending Koi team, one by one. It’s important to understand your tattoo artist – getting a tattoo is an exercise in trust, more than anything. And it’s important to everyone here at AK that you guys feel like you can relax and feel comfortable with us. So let me start off with our head tattoo artist: Vince Wishart.

The battle between right and wrong, good and evil, recovery from addiction and individualized spiritualities are a constant theme in Vince Wishart’s work. According to Vince, “A new spirituality has emerged in me and for this I am eternally grateful, and my intention is to share this spiritual outlook with you, the viewer.”

Vince is the former owner of a tattoo shop in Airdrie, Alberta and currently owns Wish-Art Studios and is a partner & lead artist at the new Ascending Koi Tattoo & Apparel studio in Calgary where he specializes in Portraits and Large custom & Japanese style tattoos.

Vince is a highly sought after & award winning tattoo & fine artist, all around swell guy & a pleasure to get to know!
